Soap, water or face wash. Only one actually works.
FACT
Bar soap and shower gel are made for your body, not your face. They have a high pH that strips your skin's natural moisture barrier, the thin protective layer that keeps hydration in and bacteria out. Plain water, on the other hand, doesn't cut through oil, pollution or dead skin cells, it just moves them around. A proper face wash is formulated to do both: clean thoroughly without disrupting your skin's balance.
IMPACT
Use soap and your face pays for it, skin feels tight, overproduces oil to compensate, and becomes more prone to breakouts. Use only water and the day's build-up stays on your skin overnight, clogging pores and dulling your complexion over time. Most men don't connect the cause to the effect because it happens gradually.
DO THIS
Swap to a dedicated face wash. Use it morning and evening with lukewarm water, not hot, which dries skin out further. Massage gently, rinse thoroughly, and follow with a moisturiser while your skin is still slightly damp. Thirty seconds of effort that your skin will notice immediately.
