What is a good Face Cream?
FACT
A good face cream does three things, it hydrates deep, strengthens the skin barrier and protects against external stress. That sounds simple but involves a lot of choices along the way that determine how effective the cream actually is. It comes down to which ingredients the product contains, in what amounts and how they work together.
IMPACT
Our philosophy is vegan products with a minimum of 95% natural ingredients. That also means actively leaving out ingredients that add nothing to your skin or that do more harm than good.
We never use:
Parabens, synthetic preservatives.
Silicones, fillers that create a temporary feeling of softness but deliver nothing real to your skin.
Sulphates, cleansing agents that break down the skin barrier and dry your skin out.
Microplastics, synthetic microparticles that neither your body nor nature can break down.
Instead we build every cream on three core ingredients.
Glycerin is one of nature's most effective moisture-binding agents.
Urea strengthens the skin barrier and makes it more resilient.
Linden Wood Extract soothes and protects, especially important for skin exposed to daily stress, cold and pollution.
That is the foundation. Then we adapt.
Face Cream Intense is formulated for dry and mature skin. We add Hyaluronic Acid for deep hydration, Niacinamide to even skin tone and reduce pores, and Shea Butter and Borage Seed Oil for intense nourishment and barrier support.
Face Cream Light is formulated for normal to oily skin. Oily skin is usually the result of high sebum production, your skin's way of compensating for dehydration. Beech Bud Extract and Enantia Chlorantha Bark Extract regulate sebum production and keep your skin balanced, hydrated without feeling heavy.
DO THIS
Get to know your skin. Your needs change with the seasons and your lifestyle. If your skin often feels dry, tight or reactive, choose Intense. If your skin is normal or you tend towards oiliness and shine, choose Light. Apply morning and night on clean skin. A small amount goes a long way.
PROTIP
Many use Light in the morning for a light, fast-absorbing start to the day and Intense in the evening when skin is in recovery mode and needs more nourishment. A simple way to give your skin what it needs at the right time.
