Article: What is Exfoliation and Why do it?

What is Exfoliation and Why do it?

FACT

Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. Your skin renews itself constantly but dead cells do not always shed efficiently. They build up in a layer that dulls your complexion, blocks pores and stops everything else in your routine from working properly. Exfoliation clears them. That is all it is.

IMPACT

Without regular exfoliation your skin looks dull, feels rough and absorbs moisturiser less effectively, because there is a layer of dead cells sitting between the product and the live skin underneath. Clear that layer and your skin looks brighter, feels smoother and everything you apply works harder.

DO THIS

Exfoliate two to three times a week in the evening in place of your face wash. CARL&SON Face Scrub uses two mechanisms at once, silica spheres to physically buff dead cells from the surface and Willow Bark Extract, a natural BHA, to dissolve the bonds holding them together. One product. Two mechanisms. Always follow with moisturiser — freshly exfoliated skin absorbs it better than at any other time.
